With my laptop it turned out it had the Screen mode on. Where it thought I was wanting it to connect to another Monitor and all I had to do was Function F9 (Toggle on Screen mode or Monitor Mode). And now it works great! I know I did not set this mode to screen mode and so that was the reason it was such a mystery to me. One day I turned it off and then the next day it would go black right after login. So try Toggling the Monitor Mode on your laptops.

hi read your post and dont have th file.. at least not found via command prompt.. only way I could navigate into that directory as os would NOT load.. BSOD and all.. any ideas.. have tried every other friggin idea out there. Mac time..???
